Privacy policy

This policy covers both the eklisia.app website and the Eklisia mobile application. The application is under development and is not published yet; the processing operations described for it correspond to its design and will be in force from its publication.

Data processed on this website

The site is static and has neither forms nor registration. The only processing is usage analytics by means of Google Analytics, which is enabled only if you accept the cookie notice.

• Data: cookie identifier, pages visited, device and browser type, approximate country obtained from the IP address.
• Purpose: to know in aggregate form how the site is used.
• Legal basis: your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.

If you reject the notice, no analytics script is loaded and no data about your visit is recorded.

Data the application will process

• Account. When you sign in with Google or with Apple, a user identifier is received and, depending on the provider and on your choice, your email address and your name. Purpose: to create and maintain your account. Legal basis: the performance of the service you request.
• Saved content. Your favourite verses and your reading preferences, so that they can be synchronised between your devices. Legal basis: the performance of the service.
• Notifications. A device identifier issued by the messaging service, so that the notice of the verse of the day can be sent to you at the hour you choose. Legal basis: your consent, which you withdraw by turning the notifications off.
• Name day. If you choose to associate your name with a saint, that data reveals your real name, and it is therefore voluntary and is shown to nobody without your express authorisation. Legal basis: your consent.
• Advertising. The application will show Google AdMob adverts. Before they are initialised you will be asked for consent through Google’s form, and on iOS you will additionally be asked for the system tracking permission. If you do not grant it, you will see non-personalised advertising. Legal basis: your consent.
• Subscriptions. Purchases are processed entirely on Google Play and on the App Store. No data of your card is received or stored; only the confirmation that your subscription is active. Legal basis: the performance of the contract.

Recipients

Providers are relied upon that act as processors or as independent controllers, as the case may be:

• Cloudflare, for the hosting and the delivery of the website.
• Google, for the site analytics, the advertising, the notifications and signing in with a Google account.
• Apple, for signing in with an Apple account and the management of subscriptions on iOS.

Data is not disclosed to third parties for commercial purposes and is not sold in any case.

International transfers

Google and Apple are United States companies and may process data outside the European Economic Area. Both are covered by the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission and by the Data Privacy Framework between the European Union and the United States.

Retention

Analytics data is kept for fourteen months. Account data is kept for as long as the account exists and is erased when you delete it. Notification identifiers are erased when the notices are turned off or when the application is uninstalled.

Your rights

You may request access to, rectification of, erasure of, restriction of, objection to and the portability of your data, as well as withdraw any consent you have given. It is enough to write to the contact address given at the beginning of this page. The application will additionally include the deletion of the account and the export of your data from its own settings.

If you consider that your data is not processed correctly, you may lodge a complaint with the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, at www.aepd.es.

Minors

Eklisia is not directed at children under fourteen and does not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

Any modification will be published on this same page, with its update date. If the change affects processing based on your consent, it will be asked of you again.
